| Button Doll | |

YOU'LL NEED Buttons, cording (i.e. thin rope, ribbon, or heavy thread), paper towel roll, hole punch, fabric (for clothing), doll head, and hair |

| INSTRUCTIONS | |
| 1. | Cut cardboard paper towel roll to the length you would like for the dolls body. |
| 2. | Use the hole punch to make two holes at each end of the roll. The holes should be about an inch apart. |
| 3. | Cut two pieces of cord, each three times the length of the body. These are the arms and legs. |
| 4. | Tie a button to the end of one cord and string buttons 1/3 of the length of the cord. |
| 5. | Feed the end of the cord through both holes of the body (See figure A below). The side with buttons should hang down like an arm. |
| 6. | String an equal amount of buttons on the remainder of the cord and knot at the end. |
| 7. | Repeat steps 4 through 6 to make legs. |
| 8. | Finish doll by adding a head, clothing, hair, and any other accessories. |
