Hudson Valley Materials Exchange
This is a organization with a similar charter as MRC. As a waste prevention measure, Hudson Valley Materials Exchange distributes re-usable business "waste". The materials, which are supplied free or at low cost, have a  multitude of uses. The Exchange is also a creative resource for craft workshops, hands-on curriculum, and entrepreneurial ventures. Materials for the Arts
We provide surplus office equipment and supplies, furnishings, art materials, and other donated items to nonprofit cultural organizations and art programs free of charge. The City of New York, through the Department of Cultural Affairs and Department of Sanitation, operates this program as a service for the cultural community and finds new uses for materials that would otherwise become waste.

Habitat for Humanity - ReStore
Our New Neighbor! The mission of Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk's ReStore is twofold:  To take valuable construction and home improvement products out of the waste stream and offer them to the public at greatly reduced prices; and to raise money for building homes for those in need.

Their mission is to build a worldwide gifting movement that reduces waste, saves precious resources & eases the burden on our landfills while enabling our members to benefit from the strength of a larger community...just like the MRC.

Wa$teMatch.Org
NY Wa$teMatch’s mission is to foster environmentally sound economic development through innovative waste reduction and resource recovery strategies. Through their materials management services, in addition to their education and research projects, merge environmental responsibility with sound business practices. They primarily serve the 5 boroughs in New York City through their interactive website.

California Materials Exchange (CalMAX)
CalMAX is a free service designed to help businesses find markets for materials they have traditionally discarded. By using a simple idea "One business' trash is another business' treasure", CalMAX helps businesses, industries, and institutions save resources and money. Business, schools, and nonprofits can utilize CalMAX to search for available and wanted materials. Since 1992 more than 650,000 tons of materials have been diverted from landfills and over 5.5 million dollars have been saved through CalMAX.
