Trash Becomes Treasure

Online web sites and local reuse centers like MRC provide plenty of ideas for fun craft projects that can bring new life to old things.  Rags can be crocheted into soft, cozy rag rugs; shoe boxes can be decorated and turned into one-of-a-kind keepsake boxes; and paper towel tubes can be turned into musical rain sticks.  Get creative!  You and your kids will have a good time while reducing the amount of trash your household generates.

Keep your loved ones cozy on rugs made from repurposed sheets and tee-shirts.
